About this studio
Luminesque Dance is the largest heels dance training and performance program in the world. Over the past decade, they have safely supported 5,000+ beginner dancers from their first step in heels all the way to performing in their legendary shows. The studio operates from Glow Studios Vancouver (1026 Davie St, Suite 400), a spacious open-concept studio on the top floor of the Celebrities Nightclub building, with additional locations in Victoria at Studio 4 Athletics and in Squamish.
Their core offering is the PROGRESS program: a five-month guided journey for total beginners through advanced dancers that covers foundations, skills, technique and performance of heels dance. The program is offered at a variety of levels and requires no audition to join. Beyond PROGRESS, Luminesque runs the NEW TO HEELS 6-week beginner progressive (designed specifically for beginners), FINESSE: a 6-week intermediate/advanced heels tech sprint, weekly drop-in classes, an EXPRESS program, a COMPANY program, and ONLINE TO ONSTAGE. They also run DANCE ALL DAY events and pop-up workshops across their locations.
Students celebrate their achievements through larger-than-life shows at premiere venues in front of supportive audiences of thousands. The studio is built on five core values: kindness, support, community, equity and positivity. They operate with a commitment to being an equitable, safer space where everyone—especially underrepresented dancers—can safely express sexuality, power and confidence. Luminesque also acknowledges that heels dance is informed by cultures from the African Diaspora, Latin America, East Asian cultures, queer culture, kink culture, and the sex work profession, and they are committed to using their platform to dismantle systems that oppress these communities.
The studio offers scholarships, a work-trade program, private lessons, teacher training, studio rentals, and dance portrait sessions. A LumiLifer annual pass provides the lowest price plus year-round bonuses for committed dancers.

Your first heels tech class is always free with pre-registration. Arrive on time for the warm-up, wear non-marking heels or dance barefoot, and bring socks, kneepads and water.
