About this studio

Palmetto Swing Dance Association brings swing and blues dancing to the Midlands with a welcoming community approach. They run two regular programmes: Tuesday Dance, held every week at Church of the Apostles, combines beginner and intermediate lessons from 7:00–8:00 PM with social dancing until 10:30 PM. A third Thursday, they host Blues at The Hoot (2910 Rosewood Dr), which includes a beginner blues lesson from 8:00–8:30 PM followed by social dancing with a live DJ until 11:00 PM.

The association teaches Lindy Hop, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, and blues. Lessons welcome dancers of all levels. At Tuesday Dance, the lesson section runs until 7:15 PM; latecomers can observe or join the social dancing when it begins at 8:00 PM. The organisation maintains a code of conduct to ensure safe, respectful dancing for everyone.

Admission to Tuesday Dance is $10 for non-members or $6 for members; annual membership costs $20. Blues at The Hoot runs on a sliding scale from $5–$10.
