About this studio

Rhythm & Dance Attitude is a boutique ballroom dance studio established in 2007, based in Brisbane and operating from multiple locations including Forest Lake, Graceville and Corinda. The studio teaches all three Dancesport styles: Ballroom (Standard), Latin American, and New Vogue, catering from absolute beginners through to advanced competitive dancers of all ages.

Director Jody Rollason has over 45 years of experience in the Dancesport industry. She danced competitively at state, national and international level, achieving Juvenile, Junior and Adult State Champion titles between 1983 and 1990, before retiring from competition in 2003 to establish the studio. More recently, Jody has returned to competition and holds multiple titles including Queensland Professional New Vogue Champions (2016, 2020, 2021) and British Champion at Blackpool Dance Festival (2023), along with World Championship winners status (2024).

The teaching team includes Kaliah Webb (Chief Financial Officer, 22+ years dancing experience with several amateur national titles), Stephanie Rollason (Assistant Ballroom Teacher, trained in Hip Hop and Ballroom), Simon Salm (10 Dance Specialist & Advisor, recipient of the Brolga Award from the Australian Dancing Society in 2025), Rohan Prince (Ballroom Teacher with 15 years professional coaching experience and former studio owner), and Dan Ribu (New Vogue & Ballroom Teacher, joining in 2026). All teaching staff are lifelong learners who continue professional development through certification programs, teacher-training schools, conferences and online courses.

Adult group classes meet on Tuesdays at Corinda Bowls Club (58 Hall Ave, Corinda), running almost year-round including school holidays. Options include American Smooth (6.00–6.45pm, $22), Beginners Basic Ballroom (6.50–7.50pm, $22), and Intermediate (8.00–8.45pm, $22). Two-class packs are available for $40. The studio also runs Competitor Stamina Guided Training on Fridays at Graceville (7.00–9.15pm, $22 couples/$12 singles), covering all three styles: New Vogue, Standard and Latin.

The studio specialises in wedding first dances, offering private coaching sessions at $98 per couple per 45-minute lesson. Bridal packages typically involve 4–6 lessons depending on practice commitment and choreographic complexity. The studio also teaches Kids Ballroom Dancing for both couples and solo dancers through the RDA Kids Club.
