RnR Dance Studio is a husband-and-wife operation run by Rasika and Ruwan, who met through dance, competed as one of Sri Lanka's top-ranked couples, and moved to Australia to share their passion. With over 20 years of teaching experience between them, they've built a studio known for warmth and inclusion across all ages and levels.
The studio teaches Ballroom, Latin, and Street Latin styles including Cha Cha, Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Jive, Samba, Waltz, and Rhythm. Classes are structured around five main streams: Adult Social Dancing (beginner and intermediate levels on Tuesday and Friday), Kids & Teens classes, DanceSport competitive training, Bridal Dance packages, and Private Lessons. You can choose a male or female instructor based on your preference.
Adult social dancing happens on Tuesday evenings: Beginner Latin Streets runs 7–8pm (foundational steps in one featured style per month), followed by Latin Fusion 8–9pm (blending styles for progressing dancers). Both include 15 minutes of social practice. Friday nights offer a Beginner-Friendly Social Dance Night with a guided lesson 7:30–8:30pm and social dancing 8:30–9pm. Most students come alone; the studio rotates partners so everyone learns comfortably and meets new people.
For competitive dancers, DanceSport training is led by accredited coaches and adjudicators registered with DanceSport Australia. Ruwan and Rasika specialise in Latin training; Christopher and Jordan specialise in Ballroom. The program includes initial assessment, personalised training plans, technique and routine development, and competition preparation — designed for serious competitors, not casual dancers.
Bridal packages include First Dance classes (choreography tailored to your style), Father-Daughter Dance classes, and Wedding Party Dance group routines. The Hi-Five Package is $550 for 5 lessons; the Ten out of Ten Package is $990 for 10 lessons with extra focus on styling and finishing; casual rates are $120 per 45-minute lesson. Kids & Teens classes run Tuesday 5:30–7pm. The studio sits in the Tesselaar Flowers building at 59 McCarthy Rd, Salisbury. A new student code 'Dance20' offers 20% off first purchase.

Classes are beginner-friendly with instructor and mentor support on the floor; no partner is needed as the studio rotates partners so everyone learns comfortably. You'll be guided through basic steps and have time to practise and socialise within the same session.
