About this studio
Rodeo Exchange is a family-owned dance hall and bar in the Historic Fort Worth Stockyards, operating since 1986. Located at the top of the hill on West Exchange Avenue, it has been awarded best dance hall in Dallas-Fort Worth and is known as the "best little honkytonk" in Texas.
The venue runs free dance lessons on Wednesdays and Thursdays at 7 pm. Wednesday lessons focus on line dancing, while Thursday sessions teach shuffle partner dancing (two-step). Both are open to beginners and all skill levels. Lessons are complimentary with a cover charge. The instructors are described as friendly and make first-timers feel confident on the floor.
Live country music performances run Thursday through Sunday at 8 pm, featuring local DFW bands. The music spans boot-stomping Texas country to classic honky-tonk favorites. The stage hosts performances several nights a week, and the venue maintains an up-to-date event calendar on social media.
The bar serves cold beer, wine, cocktails, and mixed drinks. Signature offerings include whiskey classics, margaritas, and seasonal creations. The fully-stocked bar and wide selection of beverages are part of the experience.
Rodeo Exchange welcomes private events—birthday parties, reunions, and celebrations—using the spacious layout, full bar, and built-in stage. The venue is strictly 21+ and requires ID at the door. Cover charges vary by event and are minimal on most nights. The atmosphere is lively but never pretentious, with rustic décor and neon lights creating a mix of nostalgia and excitement.
