About this studio
RYDE Studios Leeds is a fitness studio offering five distinct class formats: Cycle, Barre, Flow, Move, and Pilates. Located at 16a East Parade in the city centre, the studio has built a community around music-driven, full-body workouts designed for all levels.
RYDE Cycle is a full-body rhythm ride class where you train to energising music and bass. The studio describes it as more than a standard spin class—a vibe, a style, a community. RYDE Barre is the signature class done to the beat and bass of music, offering pulsing, lifting and lowering movements designed to challenge everyone from first-timers to professional dancers. RYDE Flow is described as sweat-dripping, beat-bumping, athletic-style yoga open to all levels, combining challenging cardio sequences with breath work and full-body strengthening. RYDE Move is a high-intensity, heart-pumping circuit-style workout using both bodyweight and equipment-based exercises. Pilates is also offered. All instructors are highly skilled, extensively trained and hold postgraduate qualifications.
The studio operates on a pay-as-you-go credits system with no joining or cancellation fees. One credit equals one class. Memberships are available: RYDE 8, RYDE 12, and RYDE 20. The studio is a Mind Ambassador and emphasises wellbeing alongside physical training. Classes run with ambient lighting and music to help pace yourself, and you can book up to two weeks in advance. The studio asks that you arrive 15 minutes before your class start time, and operates a strict no-late admittance policy once the door closes at the start of the 45-minute session.
The Leeds studio has a specialist team of instructors including Leah Jones (senior instructor across Cycle, Barre and Move, trained as a professional dancer with Northern Ballet and Northern Contemporary 2011–2020), Liv Newby (Flow, trained in Bali), Dan B (Cycle, spinning for over 10 years), Lexie McPherson (Flow, professionally trained as a contemporary dance artist), Karina Croyston (Cycle, former gymnast and personal trainer), Katie Sportelli (Cycle, dance background), Carly Bateman (Barre, professional dancer since 2016), Rebecca McLeod (Cycle, trained in Vienna), Georgia Barker (Move, ultramarathoner and boxer), Melissa Gray (Cycle, trained as professional dancer in London), Molly Hick (Move, personal trainer since 2021, trained at Northern Ballet), and Lois Pacitto (Pilates, level 3 qualified instructor).

You can book classes via the website or the RYDE Studios app. Discounts are available for blue light services and students—contact the studio for details.
