About this studio
Scissortail Ballroom is Tulsa's newest ballroom dance studio and event venue combined. The studio teaches all styles of partnership dancing: Ballroom, Latin, Swing, Country, and Wedding dances. They work with couples and singles alike, from people learning to dance socially through to those training competitively.
They use a three-part teaching method: private lessons, group classes, and practice dances. Private lessons are one-on-one with an experienced instructor, where you and your teacher decide what dances and techniques to focus on based on your goals. New students can take advantage of a New Student Special: 2 × 50-minute private lessons for $110. Group classes offer a more affordable option and cover different dances and styles each week; you can check the Facebook page for the current schedule. The studio holds practice dances on the third Friday of each month from 7:30–9:30 PM (except when events conflict), giving you a chance to dance in a supportive environment with real-world experience.
Wedding dance lessons are a speciality. The studio's experienced professionals can teach your first dance as a married couple, and also offer father/daughter and mother/son dances. Wedding instruction is by private lesson only.
The venue itself is 8,000 square feet and hosts birthdays, weddings, quinceaneras and other events. Private lessons and venue tours are by appointment only; call or email to book.
