About this studio
Slam Dancing is a multidisciplinary dance school with two locations in Barcelona: Eixample (Carrer de Balmes, 129) and Gràcia (Carrer Llibertat, 35). The school offers classes across ballet clásico, danza jazz, danza contemporánea, danza urbana, and work corporal, designed for all levels and ages.
Kids aged 4–13 join Slam Kids, where the school emphasises discipline and fun through passion and enthusiasm. Classes are taught in English and Spanish. The 4–6 age group takes Ballet & Jazz. Students aged 7–13 progress through ballet, jazz, hip-hop, teatro musical, contemporary and commercial dance, with themed training for those most motivated and talented. The school runs a competitive training programme and offers preparation for entry to dance institutes and conservatorios. In December, the school hosts open doors (puertas abiertas) where students perform what they have learned in the first term, giving them stage experience and families a chance to see progress.
Teens aged 13–17 join Slam Teens. Adults 18+ have their own programme, Slam Adultos. The school also runs a Dance Training Program for professional formation (ages 16+), with auditions held for the 2026–2027 course in September.
Special events include Casal sessions in summer, early September, Christmas and Easter — week-long residential camps combining dance, theatre, singing and crafts in English. Técnica Intensives run late August to early September to prepare body and mind before the regular course begins. The school also runs Teen Dance Lab and Summer Dance Intensives. All kids' classes prepare choreography for the end-of-year Slam Kids Festival. The school offers space rental to external groups.

Your first visit
Classes are structured by age and level, running weekday afternoons and mornings (exact times vary by location and class). You will find mirrors, ballet barres and a range of music. Kids perform at the end-of-year festival and open-doors event in December.

The school is directed by Susie Kellerman (jazz, claqué, lyrical, jumps & turns). Faculty includes ballet specialists Nili Akcanbas, Anna Vila and Alexey Dmitrenko; contemporary teachers Laura Hernandez, Ana Albornoz, Marc Lapuerta and Félix Agustín Aquaro; jazz specialists Judith Soler, Damian Martinez and Saúl Higueras; urban dance instructors Gaby Infante, Ariel Fernandez, Angelo León and Shee Benito; and commercial dance teachers Sonia Ayats and Andrea Stern. Additional instructors cover modern technique, pilates, barre method and pre-dansa.
