Founded and run by Sophia K., the studio specializes in private lessons and group classes for individuals, couples, and wedding couples at all levels. Sophia is a 2018 US National Champion in Professional Rhythm, was voted Best Dance Teachers in Las Vegas by Expertise in 2018, and made Top 3 Dance Schools in Vegas by ThreeBestRated in 2017. She has over 20 years of dance and teaching experience.
The studio teaches salsa, tango, swing, cha-cha, merengue, bachata, waltz, rumba, country (line and two-step), and hustle. All private lessons are 45 minutes long and customized to your skill level and goals. Popular packages include the 6 Lesson Package for those under time constraint, and the 10 Lesson Dance Challenge—the studio's most popular option, designed to build muscle memory and confidence over five weeks of twice-weekly lessons. Single evaluation lessons are available to assess your movement and create a tailored plan.
Group classes meet every Thursday at 8pm and focus on practical, survival dance skills for total beginners and all-level dancers. Classes cover multiple styles and are designed to prepare you for real social dancing in Las Vegas. The studio also runs monthly "Dine Dance & Date™" outings—field trips where students use what they've learned in actual social dance settings. Group classes cost $25 drop-in or $200 for a 10-class pass.
Specialized services include wedding dance choreography for first dances, couples dance programmes (including a 10 Lesson Journey, monthly Connection Curriculum membership, and a 90-Day Mars Venus Couples Reset), and Mars Venus Coaching—private relationship and communication coaching rooted in the principles of Dr. John Gray. The studio also offers team building, dance performance and entertainment, and can host off-site classes for private or corporate events.
Hours are Monday–Friday 1pm–9pm and Saturday–Sunday 12pm–6pm at 2301 Renaissance Dr. The studio also offers online and Zoom lessons, and serves locations in Redwood City and San Jose, California. Sophia founded Sophia in Sapphire after serving with the Peace Corps in Ukraine, where she worked as an English teacher and revitalized cultural arts and dance projects. After her return to the US, she pursued her dream of sharing the benefits of dance with others. The studio has been operating for 12+ years in Las Vegas.
