About this studio
South Dayton School of Dance teaches dance to students at multiple levels, from beginner through pre-professional. The studio operates a competitive company called South Dayton Dance Theatre (SDDT), which is now in its 39th year of annual spring concerts.
SDDT runs three company levels: first, second, and training company. Students in Level 1 classes and above can audition for the company experience. The studio holds an annual "SDDT Experience" workshop where prospective company members can take classes from current SDDT dancers, observe rehearsals, and learn modern and ballet choreography from company instructors.
The 39th annual SDDT Spring Concert, titled "Many Voices", takes place at Bellbrook High School Theater and features works choreographed by Mak Baker, Brittany Butler, Sean Ferguson, Kaitlynd Keim, Sharon Leahy, Michelle McElveen, Erin Robbins, Jacob Shade, and Amanda Sortman. The studio also offers adult classes and summer camps.
You can enroll new students online through the website, and returning students access the Parent Portal for registration and class information. The studio publishes a Student Handbook covering policies, dress code requirements, and behaviour expectations. A full class schedule and tuition details are available on their site.
