About this studio

Studio 59 is a dance school in Villeneuve-d'Ascq run by Frédérique Loffredo, a state-qualified instructor with over 20 years of experience. The studio welcomes adults and adolescents of all levels — from complete beginners to advanced dancers — in modern jazz and street jazz. Ages range from 15 to 70 across the classes.

Frédérique teaches with an emphasis on warmth and encouragement. The studio describes its approach as inclusive and human, where students progress at their own pace without competition, focusing instead on the pleasure of dancing and improving together. First classes are free and without commitment; you come as you are and are integrated into the group naturally.

The studio runs a full weekly schedule: Modern Jazz Débutant and Moyen on Mondays, Modern Jazz Avancé and Intermédiaire on Wednesdays and Fridays, Street Jazz Midi (12h20–13h20) on Mondays and Fridays, and Street Jazz Soirée (18h45–20h00) on Thursdays and Fridays. Modern Jazz courses run 1h30; Street Jazz runs 1h to 1h15. Hip-Hop Fusion with instructor Anaïs Trehet is also offered on Thursdays and Fridays (19h30–21h30).

Beyond regular classes, Studio 59 organises stages throughout the year — weekend workshops focused on barre work or street jazz, and full-week summer sessions. The 130 m² studio is bright and fully equipped with mirrors along the full length, dance barres, professional sound, and changing rooms. The studio is also available for rental for private lessons, group courses, rehearsals, yoga, fitness classes, and photo/video shoots; tariffs are quoted on request.
