About this studio
Studiodanz Hong Kong (SDZ) is a 4,800 sq ft dance studio in Quarry Bay, conveniently located near the MTR station on Hong Kong Island. The studio operates under the philosophy "We Believe Dance Is For Everyone" and serves as a breeding ground for dance talent across all levels.
SDZ offers a wide selection of regular classes including Hip Hop, House, Locking and Popping, Jazz and Jazz Funk, Contemporary, Urban Dance, Breaking and Heels. Classes are available from absolute beginners through to professional level. The faculty comprises top dancers, instructors and choreographers from Hong Kong and around the world.
The studio runs two annual showcases where all students are given the opportunity to perform: SDZ Showcase (March) and SDZ Summer Showcase (August). These open performances help students gain on-stage experience and develop valuable performance skills.
SDZ Academy, a children's dance programme, offers systematic curriculum designed to give children an efficient foundation in dance knowledge from an early age. Beyond dance technique, the academy emphasises creative development and aims to cultivate courage, teamwork, discipline and resilience in young dancers.
Beyond classes and training, SDZ operates as a multi-purpose venue. The studio is available for rental by dancers, choreographers and event organisers for rehearsals, performances, private classes, corporate team training and product launches. The space features advanced dance flooring, 180-degree wall mirrors, multi-segment scene lighting and high-ceiling design suitable for performances and creative events.
