About this studio
Swing Cats is a swing dance school based at Art Village – Accademia Artistica on Via Aurelia in Rome's Cornelia district. The studio teaches Lindy Hop, Authentic Jazz, Charleston, Blues, Shag, Balboa and Boogie Woogie through group courses and private lessons. They also run social events and workshops to promote swing culture.
The school offers free trial lessons. Group courses cover Lindy Hop and Jazz, with social events and workshops available alongside regular instruction. Private lessons can be arranged by phone.
Swing Cats frames dance as more than physical movement: they position swing dancing as a journey through 1930s and 1940s style and elegance, where the music, the movement and the fashion combine to create an authentic experience.
