About this studio
Tango Mood runs the Roma Tango Social Club and Roma Tango Summer Academy from July to mid-September each year. The studio offers group lessons at four levels — absolute beginners, beginners, intermediate, and advanced — plus private lessons and regular Friday-night milongas.
Group classes run on Friday evenings for beginner levels (19.00–19.30 for absolute beginners, 19.30–20.45 for beginners) and Thursday evenings for intermediate and advanced dancers. Thursday classes are structured as progressive workshops with weekly themes: in 2026 these include Giro + Enrosque, Sacada + Boleo, linear and circular systems, Vas y Ven, Barrida + Gancho, Colgada + Volcada, Cadenas, Alteraciones + Pasadas, and combinations of cruzes. A second Thursday slot (21.15–22.30) cycles between Vals and Milonga, with different structural focuses each week.
The Friday-night milonga runs from 20.00 to 00.30 and features three dance floors — one outdoor and ventilated, one air-conditioned indoor space, and a third marked "mysterious" — all with parquet. The studio provides free aperitivo and snacks on the external patio until 21.30. The venue sits near metro line A (Colli Albani stop, 500m away) on Via dei Cessati Spiriti 89, with straightforward parking.
Instructor Andrea Dedò leads the programme in collaboration with Claudia Nazzicone. The studio emphasises learning through comparison, discovery, and reflection rather than rote repetition. Couples are welcome but not required for group classes; advance booking is recommended. Private one-to-one lessons are available for all levels.
