About this studio
The Ballroom Company teaches ballroom, Latin, Smooth, and Rhythm styles to beginners, social dancers, wedding couples, and competitive students of all ages. The studio is located at 2558 Parkway Plaza in Maumee and operates Monday to Friday, 12–10pm, with private lessons available by appointment and weekend classes by arrangement.
The studio offers private lessons (45 minutes, one-on-one), group classes (45 minutes, drop-in $20 or $140/month unlimited), and Friday night Combo group classes and dance parties (8:00–10:30pm, $15 per person). Group classes span beginner and advanced levels across styles including Beginner Smooth (Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot), Beginner Rhythm (East Coast/Bolero), Beginner Club (Night Club/Hustle), West Coast Swing, Argentine Tango (Figures and Musicality), International Tango, Ladies Formation, and Advanced Combinations. Spring session runs March–April 2026.
The studio's instructors include Gil Aromas, owner and Cleveland-area native who competes professionally in regional competitions; Nicole Nieves (known as Wonder Woman), a professional ballroom dancer since 2001 with a Master's Degree in Education; Dave Ludlow, who began dancing at The Ballroom Company in 2010 and has a particular flair for Argentine Tango; Heather Ward, who taught and performed at Alfredo's dance studio from 2010 to 2018 and has over a decade of showcase and competition experience; and Michael Bulger, dancing since 2019 and teaching since 2020, with a focus on Latin social and West Coast Swing.
Services include private lessons (single or packages of 5, 10, 15, or 20 lessons with discounted rates), wedding dance instruction, and competitive Dancesport coaching. The studio also runs showcases, competitions, and special events that give students opportunities to socialise on and off the dance floor. The environment is relaxed and casual, designed for learning and enjoyment.

Five instructors lead the studio. Gil Aromas is owner and Cleveland native who competes professionally. Nicole Nieves (Wonder Woman) has been a professional ballroom dancer since 2001 and holds a Master's Degree in Education. Dave Ludlow started dancing at The Ballroom Company in 2010 and specialises in Argentine Tango. Heather Ward has over a decade of showcase and competition experience from teaching at Alfredo's dance studio 2010–2018.
