About this studio
The Latin Passion is a private Latin dance instruction service run by Peynao (Angel Peinado), a specialist in Bachata and Salsa with 20 years of experience in Latin dances and training in Spanish folklore dances. Peynao pioneered Bachata Sensual in the UK, starting to teach it in 2011, and has since become highly respected in the country and internationally as an instructor, performer and choreographer. He holds deep knowledge across all styles of Bachata—including Dominican, Modern, Bachatango and fusion styles—and is experienced in Salsa, particularly L.A. (Los Angeles) Style and Cuban Salsa.
Private classes are offered in a one-to-one or one-to-two format, giving you the chance to learn strong fundamentals in Bachata, Salsa and partner dancing with personalized attention. Peynao teaches you the music structure, history and cultural background of each style, corrects your technique, body posture, timing, musicality and styling, and guides you through multiple styles in a rational and progressive way. You'll also receive tips on social dance and performing skills, and understand the social environment and protocol you'll encounter at dance events.
Studio classes are generally available on Saturdays or Sundays from 11am until 6pm at multiple London locations: Cable Street Studios (E1W 3HB), Academy Mews Studios (NW1 0AD), and G Happy Feet Studio (EC1V 3QQ). Lime House is offered as the best-priced location. Weekday availability is limited but possible. Beyond standard private instruction, Peynao also offers first dance choreography and classes packages, choreographies training, dance teachers training, and VIP Bachata classes for groups of 2 or 4 people.
Pricing for private classes starts from £70 per hour for one person, £60 per hour for packages of 6+ hours with one person, £80 per hour for two people, and £70 per hour for two people taking 6+ hour packages. Prices vary slightly depending on the chosen venue. Bookings are non-refundable but can be rescheduled or transferred to other services, though changes made less than a week before the class start will incur a fee.
