About this studio
Wicked Westie has been Atlanta's hub for West Coast Swing since 2009. Every Wednesday night at 7:30 pm, they take over Volga Dance Academy to host both beginner lessons and social dancing. The venue draws everyone from first-timers to experienced dancers — whether you're coming for a date night, girls night, or just a fun evening out.
They run beginner lessons taught by nationally ranked dancers, priced at just $7 per class. There's no steep barrier to entry; the focus is on making West Coast Swing accessible and enjoyable for people picking it up for the first time. Beyond lessons, Wednesday nights are built around social dancing and meeting people. The studio markets itself explicitly as a place to make new friends and find a social outlet through dance.
Wicked Westie operates from Volga Dance Academy at 3855 Presidential Pkwy in Atlanta. The operation is licensed through the National Fastdancers Association, which underscores their focus on swing-specific instruction and community standards.
