About this studio
Yalla Belly Dance Dublin teaches belly dance and samba in Dublin city centre, with classes running across three studio locations: Temple Lane Studios on Curved Street in Temple Bar, Drop Studios on Sackville Street, and Mind The Step on Strand Street Great. The studio runs structured 10-week courses at beginner, pre-intermediate and intermediate levels, with belly dance classes on Tuesdays and Saturdays, and samba on Thursdays. A 10-week course costs €150. All courses are taught by Cida Arcanjo, who has over 20 years' experience in Ireland's belly dance scene.
Cida is a cornerstone figure in Dublin's dance community. She held an 18-year Saturday night residency performing at Dublin restaurants, often dancing twice weekly. Her profile extends beyond the studio: she has appeared multiple times on Ireland AM (in January 2024, May 2022, and May 2021) and competed on Ireland's Got Talent, securing three out of four judges' votes to advance. She brings her experience to choreography, directing shows that range from intimate private events to large-scale productions.
Beyond regular classes, Yalla runs the annual "A Night at the Harem" show, a full-scale belly dance performance event. The studio also offers professional dance entertainment for corporate events, weddings, private parties and celebrations—available as a solo performer or group hire. Cida continues to train with international dance masters and attends workshops to keep her teaching and performance fresh.
Yalla is a member of Dance Ireland (Damhsá Éireann), the national dance organisation. The studio operates under company registration number 802882.
