Overview

One of Japan's national theatres, located in Urasoe City, Okinawa, dedicated to the preservation and transmission of traditional Okinawan performing arts. Its English pages state that visitors can experience "authentic Ryukyuan performing arts including the Kumiodori and Ryukyuan dance", and note that Kumiodori is listed on UNESCO's Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.
