Khrystyna Moshenska

Khrystyna Moshenska is an eight-time WDSF World Champion Latin dancer and gold medalist at The World Games 2025, known for sustained excellence across two landmark competitive partnerships spanning fifteen years. Born in 1990 in Kharkiv, Ukraine, she began gymnastics and dance at four and entered her first Latin competition at six.

Moshenska's first major partnership was with Italian dancer Aniello Langella. Representing Italy from February 2010 to October 2014, the couple placed fourth at the 2010 world championship and third in 2011 before winning three consecutive WDSF World Championship Adult Latin titles in Vienna (2012), Berlin (2013), and Ostrava (2014). That run established her as a technically commanding competitor at the sport's highest level.

In October 2014, Moshenska transferred to Germany and began her partnership with Marius-Andrei Balan in December of that year. The German pair's early progression included third place in 2015 and second-place finishes in 2018 and 2019—a development toward dominance rather than immediate victory. A 2024 WDSF interview noted that they led the world ranking from 2020 and credited time spent in Cuba in 2017 and 2018 as part of their effort to engage more deeply with Latin dance's cultural roots. They won their first WDSF World Championship Adult Latin title in Pforzheim in 2021, then retained the championship in 2022, 2023, and 2024.

Their competitive arc in the multisport arena moved from silver at The World Games 2022 to gold at The World Games 2025 in Chengdu. Later in 2025, they entered the WDSF Professional Division and won the PD World Championship Latin in Leipzig on 18 October—the final competition of their career. That victory gave Moshenska five adult world titles with Balan and eight across her two principal adult partnerships.

In January 2026, WDSF reported that Balan and Moshenska had received Germany's Silver Laurel Leaf and described their postcompetitive contribution in teaching and mentoring. Their WDSF couple record was formally retired on 1 February 2026.
