The Lilliputian Minuet (1905)

A Star Film trick short in which playing-card figures come alive at doll scale and dance a minuet before folding back into the deck. Four performers were composited to miniature size; the surviving fragment is an early screen record of the dance.

The Lilliputian Minuet is a 1905 dance film centred on Historic Baroque Court. For dancers, it's a chance to see the style performed on screen — the phrasing, partnering, and musicality that the same dances carry onto a real floor.
