Dancing in Alpharetta

The same bronze couple as Dancing in Decatur, installed at Roaring Social's Alpharetta location in 2021 — four years before the Decatur casting. The two figures are named Robert and Sophia; Roaring Social's founders imagined them as symbols of "celebration, connection, memory making". The sculptor is not recorded, and the entry stays unpublished until somebody can name them. Sculpted by Martin Dawe of Cherrylion Studios, Atlanta — also the sculptor of the Martin Luther King Jr. statue at the Georgia State Capitol.

Do you recognise the dance?

We have not filed this one under a style. Plenty of sculptures show dancing without showing a particular dance — but if you can see a form here, telling us connects this sculpture to everything else we hold on it.
