About this studio

Pooler Ballroom teaches ballroom and Latin dance at 301 US Highway 80 in Pooler, Georgia. The studio is run by owner Kimberly Capracotta, who is a certified dance instructor through DanceVision and a member of the National Dance Council of America (NDCA). She is also a certified Nutrition and Wellness Consultant and certified Group Fitness Instructor through American Fitness Professionals & Associates.

The studio's lead instructor is Alfredo Horna, who moved to Georgia from Ohio where he owned and operated a dance studio for more than thirty years. Alfredo has trained with nationally renowned dance champions and coaches and teaches all styles of Ballroom, Latin/Rhythm, Nightclub, and Country-Western. He teaches in both English and Spanish and works with students from beginners to advanced dancers in social, competitive and performance dance.

Private lessons run for 45 minutes of one-on-one instruction tailored to your interests and abilities. The studio teaches Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz, Cha Cha, Rumba, East Coast Swing, Bolero, Mambo, Salsa, and Bachata, with more styles regularly added. Group classes offer a way to become familiar with dance and meet other dancers. The studio also runs group fitness and stretching classes for those seeking to add dance-based exercise to their routine, with instructors certified through AFPA and NASM in group fitness and stretching.

Special event dance lessons are available for weddings, Quinceañeras, Sweet 16s, Debutante Balls, and proms. The studio also offers private group lessons for receptions, family reunions, retreats and other events, with pricing based on group size, planning, and location needs.

Regular events include a Move & Groove Adult Dance Class every Friday at 6:45pm, a Dance Party every third Friday at 7:30pm, a Learn the Basics Workshop every fourth Saturday at 2:30pm, and a Ballroom & Latin Technique Workshop every fourth Saturday at 3:30pm. A Summer Kick Off Party & Show is scheduled for Saturday, June 7, 2026. The studio is also available as a workshop and event presenter on topics including Dance and Fitness, Ballroom Dancing Technique, Health and Wellness for the Dancer, and Every Day Ballroom.

Alfredo Horna, who owned a dance studio in Ohio for more than thirty years, brings decades of experience and training with nationally renowned coaches. Owner Kimberly Capracotta is a certified dance instructor through DanceVision and NDCA member who started dancing in March 2018 and now combines dance instruction with nutrition and wellness coaching.

Pooler Ballroom was founded by Kimberly Capracotta, who began dancing in March 2018 at a dance fitness class and quickly progressed through group classes, private lessons, showcases and competitions. She is now bringing her passion for dance to the greater Savannah area through Pooler Ballroom.
