Arthur Murray Dance Center teaches ballroom, Latin, swing and country western dance in Phoenix. The studio runs from a location on North 7th Street and is open Tuesday to Friday from 12:45pm to 9:45pm, and Saturday from 11:00am to 4:00pm.

The studio offers six structured programs that build progressively. The Basic Introductory Program covers foot position, rhythm and timing, and the fundamentals of leading or following. The Associate Bronze Program expands variety and introduces styling. Full Bronze is the complete social dance program designed to develop timing and technique across all social dances, giving you confidence to dance any dance with anyone at any time. Silver-level dancers develop more elaborate movements and polished technique to stand out on the floor. Gold is for hobby dancers interested in performances, exhibitions or competitions, with intricate patterns and choreography.

You will learn the very latest steps in salsa, swing, hustle, samba, merengue, foxtrot, rumba, cha-cha, mambo, waltz, tango and others. Classes are designed for both beginners and experienced dancers. The studio states there is no age limit—their oldest students are over 70 and the youngest usually in their early teens. Hundreds of thousands have been successfully trained at Arthur Murray Dance Studios.

Instructors at Arthur Murray are experts in dance and competent in form. To qualify as an Arthur Murray teacher, they must complete an extensive and rigorous training regimen. Your teachers are selected to best suit your needs and style of learning. The studio emphasises that if you can walk, you can dance, and that dancing is taught in simple, basic elements from which the steps are derived.

Your first lesson is free. You will work with an instructor selected to match your learning style, starting with the basic elements of foot position, rhythm and timing. Classes run during the studio's regular hours: Tuesday to Friday afternoons and evenings, or Saturday mornings.
