About this studio
Arthur Murray Inner West teaches ballroom, Latin and social dance at 276 Norton St, Leichhardt. You can learn Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Viennese Waltz, Quickstep, Rumba, Cha Cha, Bolero, Mambo, Swing, West Coast Swing, Lindy Hop, Salsa & Bachata, Country Western, Hustle, Samba, and more. The studio uses a three-part teaching method: private lessons for technique and style, group classes (less than 20 people) to develop patterns and meet other students, and regular practice parties to build confidence and connect with the dance community.
The studio is part of the Arthur Murray network, which has over 260 studios in 21 countries and has been teaching dance since 1912. Arthur Murray Inner West is owned and taught by Jaymie Haskell and Caitlin Hosking, both professional dancers and instructors. Jaymie is a Smooth and Rhythm champion known for Top Teacher awards. Caitlin has competed in Australia and the United States over 15 years and holds titles in Rhythm and Smooth. The team also includes James Leece, Isabelle Carey, Lauren Choukri (with over 25 years of teaching experience), Jad Queras, Amy Coward (8 years of dance teaching), Persia Thor-Poet (a principal dancer and showgirl who trained at the New Zealand School of Dance and Arthur Murray Montréal), and Julian Kumar (specialising in Salsa & Bachata and ballroom).
You can learn as a couple or solo—no partner required. Private lessons are available for singles or couples. The studio offers beginner, intermediate and advanced levels. You choose how often to attend; most students come at least once a week, though some are there every day. Wedding dance packages are available, and the studio offers gift certificates, venue hire, and parties and social events.
The studio has a purpose-built dance floor and modern facilities. It is located in Leichhardt close to convenient parking and public transport, amidst some of the best restaurants in town. Opening hours are Monday to Friday 2pm–10pm and Saturday 10am–4pm. Your first lesson is free.

Your first visit
You'll meet your instructor, learn the basics of your chosen dance, and have a personalised plan made to suit your goals. Wear comfortable clothes and shoes that stay on your feet. Your instructor will dance with you during your private lesson, and at group classes and parties you'll partner with other students.
