About this studio

Círculo de Baile is a multidisciplinary dance school in Chamberí, Madrid, operating since 1995. The school teaches an unusually wide range of partner dances, individual styles, and children's classes across separate identities: Salón (ballroom and Latin partner dances), SBK (Salsa, Bachata, Kizomba), Tango, Swing (including Lindy Hop and West Coast Swing), and Country Line Dance, plus solo offerings in Modern Jazz, Commercial Dance, Sevillanas, Zumba, Ballet, Flamenco, and Hip Hop.

The school operates Monday to Friday 10:00–23:00, Saturday 11:00–14:00 and 17:00–23:00, and Sunday 17:00–23:00 (extended hours during term; summer schedules vary). Classes run monthly cycles with most months offering four weeks of instruction, though some months have five or only two or three depending on the calendar and holidays. They offer trial classes so you can test a group before committing to the month.

Partner-dance classes use a waitlist system: if you come alone, you're matched with someone from the opposite role in waiting order, or placed on the list yourself. This approach ensures balanced partnerships for learning. The school runs regular JAM sessions (social dance events) throughout the year—including summer-evening Tardeo Swing gatherings and end-of-term parties—and coordinates themed intensives in July and August when scheduling shifts.

Instructor-led offerings feature named teachers including Yolanda Molina (Tango intensives), Sara Mouchon (West Coast Swing), Ximena (Country), Mafe (Lady Style Salsa), and Ivan y Saray (Bachata), among others rotating with the season. The school also offers private lessons and room rental to external groups. Children's classes include preballet, princess ballet, ballet, flamenco, and bilingual dance classes in collaboration with Hello English.

Payment is monthly (due the first week), with options for trimester (10% discount) or annual payment (15% discount, calculated on 40 weeks). Trimester payments are accepted only in the first month of each term (October, January, April). Classes are priced per month depending on how many weeks fall in that month, not on attendance. Missed classes can sometimes be recovered in other groups of the same level and teacher, but recovery is not guaranteed. Room rental is also available.

What to expect

Your first visit

Call or WhatsApp the studio to discuss which class suits you. Most classes welcome a trial session before you commit. Classes are grouped by style (Salón, SBK, Tango, Swing, Country, solo styles) and level. Partner dances pair you with other students via a waitlist if you come alone; solo classes and children's groups operate independently.
