About this studio
Dance Center of San Antonio is ranked among the top ballet schools in the U.S. and has earned recognition as a YAGP Outstanding School in both 2018 and 2026. The studio offers comprehensive training across multiple disciplines: Classical Ballet through their Pre-Professional Training program, Musical Theatre, Contemporary Dance, and Commercial Dance. They also run an Open Division and Academic Program to serve dancers at all levels.
The faculty includes guest master teachers and YAGP & UBC Outstanding Teachers (recognised annually from 2016–2026). Students have access to private lessons for one-on-one coaching tailored to technique, variations, and individual goals. Supporting your dance training beyond technique, the studio offers Pilates & Conditioning classes to build strength, flexibility, and injury prevention.
DCSA runs an extensive summer calendar including the Summer Ballet Intensive 2026, Young Dancer Summer Camps, Musical Theatre Summer Workshops, and Teen & Adult Intensives. They also host the Frozen Princess Ballet Camp & Showcase. The studio has produced 2 Prix de Lausanne candidates and has placed thousands of students in scholarships to world-renowned schools and programs. Their training focuses on increasing students' chances of receiving contracts—the studio reports students are able to increase their chances by 65%.
Beyond classes, DCSA offers studio rental for rehearsals, private coaching, and events. They run Children's Ballet of San Antonio as a separate programme. The front desk operates September–May Monday–Thursday and Friday 2:00–8:00 PM, Saturday 9:00 AM–2:00 PM; June–August Monday–Friday 9:00 AM–5:00 PM.
