What to expect
Your first visit
Start with one of the free outdoor community events (held regularly at Old Sacramento Waterfront, Janet Leigh Plaza, and Old Town Plaza). Each begins at 6 p.m. with a free beginner dance lesson, no partner needed. From 7 p.m. onwards, a DJ plays Latin music for social dancing until the event ends. Food vendors and local artisans are on-site at select events.
