Dance Studio Lioudmila

Dance Studio Lioudmila has been teaching in Alexandria for 25 years. The studio is run by Lioudmila and Serguei, a husband-and-wife professional dance team married for over 30 years. Both were finalists in numerous dance competitions and have trained many competitive dance couples throughout their professional careers.

The studio teaches ballroom, Latin, Argentine Tango, salsa and bachata in both American and International styles (Smooth, Rhythm, Latin, and Standard). They also offer Swing, Two-Step and Hustle. Group classes are designed to improve connection with others and provide exercise and socializing. All instructors are certified to teach at every dance level and style. Lessons are 45 minutes long, and you're encouraged to arrive 5–10 minutes early.

Private lessons are available for specific dance goals — special events, competitions or showcases — to improve technique and build confidence. Wedding dance is a major focus: the studio offers personalized choreography for first dances, father-daughter dances and mother-son dances. Each couple gets an initial consultation, private lessons tailored to their vision, help choosing music, ongoing video support and written cheat sheets to practise at home. The studio occupies over 4,000 square feet of hardwood floor space available for rental for dance events or practice. Group classes welcome students with no partner and no prior experience. The atmosphere is described by students as welcoming, friendly and encouraging.
