About this studio
Quartier Latin has been teaching Latin dance in Montreal since 2007. The studio is led by Alina Litvak, a two-time Canadian champion, North American bronze medalist, Canadian World Championship representative, two-time Quebec amateur champion, and top 24 Blackpool rising star professional. She brings 19 years of teaching experience to the studio.
The studio teaches Latin, Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Rumba, Cha Cha, Samba, Jive, Paso Doble, Waltz, and Tango. Programs are available for kids aged 4 and up, adults of all levels, and couples preparing for wedding dances. Kids group lessons are structured by level: beginners (ages 4–6) focus on posture, counting music, basic leg action, and arm coordination; intermediate students (ages 7–14) with 6 months to 1 year of experience work on advanced technique, musicality, balance, and spin coordination; and advanced students (ages 13+) with 4–5+ years of training master advanced choreography, musical interpretation, and performance skills in all 5 Latin dances.
The studio offers private one-on-one lessons tailored to goals and skill level, with flexible scheduling and personalized curriculum. Wedding dance packages range from 8 lessons (Essential) to 20+ lessons (Showstopper), with options for footwork fundamentals, posture, timing, dips, turns, lifts, and advanced choreography. The studio has helped over 500 wedding couples and maintains a 4.9-star rating.
Adult group classes meet on Sundays at 12:15 PM–1:15 PM for beginners and Fridays at 7:15 PM–8:15 PM for intermediate dancers. Advanced kids classes meet Wednesdays 6:15 PM–7:15 PM and Sundays 11:15 AM–12:15 PM. All classes are available in French, English, and Russian. The studio is located at 1350 Rue Mazurette #404, Montreal, with free parking available.

Studio history
Quartier Latin was founded in 2007 with the mission to share the beauty and joy of Latin dance with Montreal. What started as a small studio has grown into one of Canada's most respected dance schools, recognised in 2015 as one of Canada's top dance schools. The studio has trained hundreds of students, from first-time dancers to national competitors.
