About this studio
DAnce Time is one of Bucharest's earliest dance schools, founded in 2005 by former professional competitive dancers. The studio teaches over 30 dance styles across two locations: the main studio on Strada Gheorghe Matac in the Barbu Văcărescu area (sector 2), and a second location on Strada Washington in sector 1.
Adult classes run in small groups of 10 people and cover Latin dances (salsa, bachata, merengue, tango argentinian), sport dance, popular Romanian dances, modern dance, street dance, and ballroom styles (Viennese waltz, tango european, quickstep, slow foxtrot). The school also offers private lessons with flexible scheduling, which instructors say allows you to learn 2–3 times faster with individual attention. For those preparing for a wedding, the studio offers dedicated wedding dance courses teaching Viennese waltz, tango, popular dances, and modern dance styles.
Children's classes for ages 4–18 run in groups of 12 and combine modern dance, sport dance, popular dances, and street dance. The summer programme includes parent-and-child classes running in parallel. The school emphasises psychological development alongside movement, aiming to build creativity, attention, musical ear, and posture while introducing physical activity early.
DAnce Time hires professional dancers for weddings and events, offering demonstrations in Latin dance, sport dance, popular dances, swing, Charleston, can-can, and burlesque. Performers range from pairs to ten couples and have represented Romania at international sport dance championships.
The studio's teaching method is described as "fast learning," based on systematically teaching recognised steps from the Romanian Sport Dance Federation. Instructors are former competitive dancers trained in both technique and pedagogy. The school reports 980 classes held, 75 instructor awards, 7,800 adult students, and 3,800 children across its 18 years of operation.
