About this studio
DANSAntwerpen teaches adult dance across three styles: Klassiek Ballet, Moderne Dans, and Modern Jazz. Classes run at structured weekly times with no drop-in option — the studio prioritises consistent attendance and progression over casual access. You'll find classes at three locations: Sint-Ludgardis (Moderne Dans on Wednesdays), Kunstkaai (Klassiek Ballet and Modern Jazz on Wednesdays and Thursdays), and Sporthal Parkloods (Klassiek Ballet on Sundays).
The schedule offers levels from Beginners through Semi-Gevorderd (intermediate) to Gevorderd (advanced). Wednesday at Sint-Ludgardis runs Moderne Dans Beginners at 19:00, Semi-Gevorderd at 20:00, and Gevorderd & Choreografie at 21:00. At Kunstkaai on Wednesday, Klassiek Ballet Beginners starts at 19:00 followed by Modern Jazz at 20:00. Thursday at Kunstkaai repeats the Moderne Dans schedule. Sunday at Sporthal Parkloods offers Klassiek Ballet at 11:00 (Beginners), 12:00 (Semi-Gevorderden), and 13:00 (Gevorderden).
The studio explicitly states it chooses structure and quality over casual dropping-in. A fixed weekly slot gives you consistency, support for real progress, and genuine enjoyment of dance. Most members are aged 20–45, though the oldest reach 60+. There's no age limit.
Performances are not mandatory. Only the choreography groups perform occasionally, typically when invited to events. DANSAntwerpen's focus is on the weekly dance moment for yourself — without pressure or spotlight obligations. Trial lessons are available if space permits. You can check availability and enrol via the member portal.
