About this studio
Dynamic Dance Academy has served Richmond since January 2010, officially taking its current name in January 2019. The studio offers dance classes for children and adults, with a strong focus on majorette and competitive training. Classes run on Wednesdays: ages 4–5 from 6:30–7:30 pm, and ages 6–17 from 7:00–8:30 pm, taught by Coach Bre and Coach Seana alongside competitive Angels members.
The Competitive Training Classes take dancers to an advanced level, teaching choreography and skills for competition. Majorette is taught in two distinct forms: College/Dance line style (modern and jazz with marching) and Competitive style (modern, jazz, hip hop, tumbling, and stunts). Dancers learn terminology and memorisation techniques during class to build both technical and choreographic strength.
Dynamic Angels, the studio's performance and competition team founded in 2015, is one of Richmond's top-winning majorette groups. They hold over 20 Grand Championship titles, placed in the top 6 at Buck or Die 2017–2019 Regionals, and were featured on Season 5 of the TV show "Bring It". Team members range from ages 5–18 and train in all dance styles. The studio also runs pop-up adult classes for dancers of all levels, including those new to dance, with opportunities to compete periodically.
Beyond classes, Dynamic Dance provides choreographed dancers for entertainment and events, background dancers and models for live performances and shoots, studio rentals, and services for local and national artists and promoters. The studio emphasizes affordable access to dance and creating a positive community where dancers connect with skilled instructors, choreography, and structured support.
What to expect
Your first visit
You can register in person at the studio (open by 6:30 pm most days), online via the parent portal, or by phone. Classes cost $40 per month. You can start the same day you register or at the next class session. Expect energetic teaching and a team-oriented dance family environment.
