About this studio
Rock'n Style has been teaching partner dance in Montpellier since 1988. The school is a FFD-certified structure (Label Qualité FFD) and runs four main dance sections: Rock, Latin & Standard, Lindy Hop (Swing), and Salsa. All classes are offered at beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.
The studio occupies a 130 m² purpose-built dance space with a sprung parquet floor, mirrors, changing rooms and shower facilities, set in green surroundings in central Montpellier. Classes run Monday to Friday, with group lessons, private lessons for couples, competitive training, stages and specialised workshops available.
Liliane Favier, a professional dancer, choreographer and dance sport judge, has been teaching here for over 30 years. She works with her partner Philippe, with whom she has collaborated since 1997. Both regularly train in France and internationally to maintain teaching standards. The school's philosophy emphasises enjoyment alongside progress: learning and advancement happen through play and shared experience.
Weekly Friday workshops run on rotating themes—Bachata, Valse, Jive, Charleston, Madison, Twist, Shim Sham, Balboa, and Samba—offered to both members and non-members. All classes are two-person dances. A first free trial lesson is available until 9 October 2026.
What to expect
Your first visit
Classes are group lessons for couples at all levels, running Monday to Friday evenings from 19h to 22h depending on the style and level. The studio is a 130 m² space with parquet, mirrors and changing facilities. Liliane and Philippe teach with emphasis on enjoyment alongside progress.
