About this studio

El Horno is a leisure and arts centre in the heart of Madrid, between La Latina, Tirso de Molina and Lavapiés, with nearly three decades of history. The space brings together over 65 dance and movement disciplines, constantly refreshed, alongside fitness classes, a gym, yoga and pilates studios, and functional training.

Classes run daily from 10:00 to 21:30 Monday to Friday, and 10:00 to 15:00 on Saturdays. The schedule offers up to five different classes each hour, so you can find sessions that suit your availability and level. Whether you're starting from scratch or refining an advanced technique, there are classes at every level: initiation, all levels, and professional. The centre accommodates limited numbers in each class, with booking through their app.

The teaching team includes specialists across the range: Richard Quintana teaches ballet, baile de novios (first dance) and danZe; Eva María Alonso leads tap dance, jazz fosse and cabaret bourlesque; Tania Cruz runs ABD, HIIT stretching, just pump and step; Victor Gascón teaches indoor cycling, cross training and just pump; Manjeet leads kundalini yoga. The staff emphasise that all instructors are deeply experienced and passionate about their work.

Beyond regular classes, El Horno runs a full events programme: despedidas (hen and stag parties), baile de novios (first dance lessons), flashmobs, private parties and children's birthday celebrations. Additional services include nutritional consultancy, osteopathy and massage. You can also book the centre's rehearsal studios, with promotional pricing of €8 per hour from 10:00 to 17:00 weekdays.

What to expect

Your first visit

You'll book your class through the app and arrive with appropriate shoes for the activity. Bring a towel and water bottle; if you're taking yoga, bring your own mat. Classes are limited in size and run throughout the day with multiple options each hour.
