Evites Ballet en Dansschool is a dance studio in Rotterdam offering classes for children, teens and adults. The studio teaches classical ballet using the Vaganova method and contemporary approaches, Neo Ballet Barre workouts, and modern dance. For adults, the main offerings are classical ballet lessons and Neo Ballet Barre workouts. Neo Ballet Barre combines classical ballet barre work, floor barre exercises on the mat, and Progressing Ballet Technique (PBT) with yoga and pilates. The workout alternates quick flowing movements with isometric strength training, using body weight, balls, resistance bands and yoga mats to work specific muscle groups through ballet poses and core training. Stretching work builds flexibility and posture. Classical ballet lessons follow the traditional structure of barre work followed by centre combinations, focusing on body control, elegance and suppleness. The studio offers classical ballet at two levels: beginners and intermediate/advanced.

The studio also runs workshops and special events including an Inner Circle monthly women's gathering combining movement, meditation and conversation; a contemporary workshop drawing from modern dance, jazz, lyrical and classical ballet; and a Heels class for all levels.

Evites works with experienced, qualified dance teachers. The founding teacher and artistic director is Eva. The teaching staff also includes Johanna and Margriet. You'll work at the ballet barre then move to centre combinations, with the teacher offering modifications if needed. Classes are designed for all levels and your teacher will suggest other classes or times if you'd prefer a different fit.
