About this studio
Flair Dance Studio was established in 1996 by Kelly-Jayne Poulter, a former British Freestyle champion who trained at the BRIT School of Performing Arts in London and won a trip to New York at age 18 to study at The Broadway Dance Centre. The studio has grown from its Oxford base to serve multiple locations across Oxfordshire, including Bicester, Banbury, Woodstock and Witney.
The school specialises in contemporary, freestyle, lyrical, jazz, commercial and acro dance classes for children of all ages and abilities. Classes combine athletic prowess with technique and skill, pitched as enjoyable and energetic exercise. The studio maintains a 100% exam pass rate and is home to European Champions. Many of Flair's former pupils have gone on to achieve professional careers in dance.
Kelly-Jayne has trained six of her dancers to become teachers, all of whom now work for the company, creating an experienced and highly-qualified teaching team. The studio's achievement has been recognised professionally: Kelly-Jayne was awarded Young Professional of the Year by the Association of Dance Freestyle Professionals in both 2004 and 2012, and has recently been nominated for a prestigious Le Classique De Dance award for Freestyle Professional of the Year alongside two of her pupils.
All teachers are fully qualified members of the IDTA. The studio welcomes children who want to dance for fun or compete at local and regional dance competitions.
