About this studio
Fred Astaire Dance Studios – Lakewood Ranch is a franchise location of the Fred Astaire Dance Studios network, which has been enriching lives through ballroom dance since 1947. The studio teaches both International and American ballroom styles and welcomes students of any age, ability, or dance background.
Its hallmark is an atmosphere the brand describes as warm, kind, non-judgmental, and fun — a "FADS community" feel that students say they notice from their first visit. Offerings span social ballroom, Latin, swing, and specialty wedding dance instruction.
What to expect
Your first visit
New students typically begin with an introductory offer designed to get them on the dance floor quickly. The studio guides first-timers through a "Start Dancing" process and helps each student identify which dance style suits them best, whether International or American style (or both). Wedding couples can book dedicated programs ranging from a simple first dance to full wedding-party routines.
