Fred Astaire Dance Studios in West Palm Beach teaches ballroom, Latin, smooth, rhythm, and swing dancing to students of all ages and abilities. The studio has served the West Palm Beach area for more than 14 years and has won the South Florida Top Studio Award. You can learn everything from waltz, tango, foxtrot, and quickstep to cha-cha, rumba, samba, salsa, Argentine tango, merengue, and hustle—over 20 distinct dance styles in total.
The studio offers three main formats: private lessons for personalized one-on-one instruction, group lessons for social connection with other dancers, and practice parties where you can apply what you're learning. Their teaching method, developed by Fred Astaire himself, focuses on how people naturally absorb and retain information while having fun. The instructors are certified dance professionals, many with Fine Arts degrees and competitive experience. Several have studied internationally; staff members include Mykhailo Azarov (originally from Ukraine, degree in ballroom dancing), Anastasia Azarov (from Belarus, started dancing at age 7), Manuel Favilla (from Italy, began at age 8), Natalia Maidiuk (from Lithuania), Dmitriy Fedchenko (from Ukraine), Brian Ocana (internationally acclaimed ballroom champion with over 20 years' experience), Anastasiia Shaparenko (joined in 2022 from Ukraine), and Illia Sorokin.
Wedding dance is a speciality. You can book lessons for your first dance alone, or include choreography for the wedding party and parents' dances. The studio also runs date night lessons featuring a 40-minute private session plus one complimentary drink per person (Prosecco, red wine, or white wine) and one complimentary group class. Competitive dancers can enter regional, inter-regional, national, and international Pro-Am and professional competitions.
The studio is open 12:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through Friday; Saturday and Sunday by appointment. It serves Wellington, Palm Beach, Royal Palm Beach, Lake Worth, North Palm Beach, and other communities across Palm Beach county.

Your first visit
Your first visit includes an introductory lesson where you'll learn basic steps and feel at ease from the start. The studio emphasises a warm, non-judgmental atmosphere. You can come alone or with a partner; no prior dance experience or partner is required.

Who teaches here
The studio employs eight certified professional dance instructors, many with international backgrounds and competitive experience. Mykhailo Azarov, Anastasia Azarov, Manuel Favilla, and Natalia Maidiuk are studio owners and instructors. Other instructors include Dmitriy Fedchenko, Brian Ocana (internationally acclaimed champion with over 20 years' experience), Anastasiia Shaparenko, and Illia Sorokin. All complete rigorous training in the Fred Astaire curriculum.
