About this studio
INK Dance specialises in street and commercial dance, located on Floor 1 of the TFC building at 94 Surrey Street in Sheffield city centre. The studio has been supporting dancers across Sheffield for 13 years, combining high-quality dance training with a supportive class culture built around community connection.
Classes run weekly from beginner through to intermediate+ levels, with street dance and hiphop foundations woven into classes alongside stage-ready commercial dance choreography. The schedule includes open classes, pop-up classes delivered by guest tutors from around the UK, and monthly Make it Social events that combine dance with community hangouts. Whether you're stepping into a studio for the first time or training at an advanced level, the class structure is designed to meet dancers wherever they are on their journey.
INK's tutors are industry-experienced, with professional credits spanning Adidas, Rita Ora, Busta Rhymes, Cineworld, The X Factor, and productions for BBC, ITV, and Channel 4. They are DBS checked, dance qualified, and bring real industry experience alongside a focus on developing the next generation of dancers.
Beyond weekly classes, INK runs INK CO-CREW, a flagship dance crew development programme for committed dancers aged 16+, where members train, perform, compete, and represent INK at events across the UK. INK YOUTH (ages 11–15) is a separate programme designed to build confidence, develop skills, and create lasting friendships through street and commercial dance. Both programmes are focused on positive and supportive training environments.
The studio also offers commercial hire services for brand activations, productions, and live events, providing professional dancers and choreography to bring creative briefs to life. The community is called INKFAM, described as a third space built on supportive led training, industry-standard classes, and an inclusive class culture where everyone feels at home.
