About this studio
Isabelle Ashe Dance Studios has spent 44 years building a comprehensive dance school across Dublin. The studio teaches classical ballet, modern, theatre/musical theatre, tap, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, Broadway & commercial jazz, and singing. All styles may be taken as stand-alone classes or in the popular mixed-styles format.
The school is organised into four age and ability groups: Junior Students (age 2+), Elementary Students (age 7–9), Intermediate Students (age 10–12+), and Vocational/Advanced Students. The studio teaches and enters students in the ISTD international graded and vocational syllabi up to Advanced 2 Level, with teacher training and beyond. Examinations are entirely optional, with about 50% of students choosing to take them.
Performance is central to the school's ethos. The main focus is the annual shows and displays at the National Concert Hall, Convention Centre Dublin, local theatres and venues. Parents consistently note that students perform in real theatres, developing artistry and confidence on proper stages.
The teaching team includes Isabelle Ashe (LISTD registered teacher), Jenny Ashe, Rachel Lopez (past pupil and guest teacher), Ruth Devine (guest teacher), Lisa Tyrell (guest teacher), and Andrew Wilson (school patron). Parents report that Isabelle and Jenny put huge effort into caring for and motivating students, creating a fun learning environment while achieving progress on the academic side of dance.
The studio operates across multiple Dublin locations: Dartry, Milltown, Ranelagh (Dublin 6), Rathmines, Rathgar, Terenure (Dublin 6W), Donnybrook (Dublin 4), Ballsbridge (Dublin 2), Castleknock (Dublin 15), Mount Merrion, Sandymount, Booterstown, Blackrock, Stillorgan, Ringsend, Portobello, Clonskeagh, Sandyford, Churchtown and Harold's Cross. Contact the studio by phone or email for class details and enrolment.
