About this studio
Latin Dance Passion is an independent Salsa and Bachata school in Zürich, located at Kalanderplatz 1 in the Sihlcity shopping centre in Wiedikon. The school is Swiss Dance recognised, which means you can claim health insurance reductions on your subscription. The owners and teachers—Mirco and Lilly—have taught at various national and international dance schools and bring extensive competitive experience. They teach Salsa Puertorriqueña (LA), Salsa Cubana (Miami), and Bachata to over 100 students daily.
Classes run at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels for both styles, with free trial lessons available. You do not need to bring a dance partner or dance shoes to start; the school partners solo students with others and regular partner rotation happens in class. Subscriptions are structured around a main course (guaranteed weekly slot) with the option to attend additional classes at your level or lower at no extra cost. All subscriptions are flexible: you can switch your main course day without notice, pause during holidays, or attend classes on different days for shift workers.
The school uses methodical and didactic teaching approaches to make learning playful and accessible. Teachers provide direct feedback, patience, and encouragement. New courses include Salsa on Friday at 18:30 (from 19 June 2026), Bachata on Wednesday at 19:00 (from 15 July 2026), Salsa on Thursday at 20:30 (from 20 August 2026), and a Salsa and Bachata children's course on Wednesday 16:00–17:00 (from 19 August 2026). The school closes for summer holidays from 1 to 9 August 2026.
The venue is The Jungle Club, which has professional and modern infrastructure. Social dancing runs every Thursday from 22:00 with free entry and teachers present; Bachata Jungle Nights happen on the first Thursday of each month. Parking is abundant: about 60 free outdoor spaces, Sihlcity car park with over 850 spaces, and a further 300 spaces nearby; outdoor spaces on the main street and all other outdoor spots become free from 20:00 and 22:00 respectively.
The school also hosts workshops and parties. A Bachazouk event with Suárez and Carmen runs 21–22 August 2026, featuring five hours of intensive training on body movement, technique and combinations, with parties both nights (DJ Maikiu). Tickets range from CHF 20 to CHF 40 depending on workshop and party attendance.
