Madison Ballroom Company teaches ballroom and Latin dance to adults and children in a fun, welcoming, zero-pressure environment. The studio is located at 1410 Greenway Cross #201 in Madison, and operates by appointment Monday to Friday (closed weekends).
The instruction team includes Samantha Trinidad, Owner and Artistic Director, who trained with national champions and has taught all styles of ballroom and Latin for over fifteen years. She competed in the Professional American Smooth division and is a Rising Star and Open Finalist. Anthony Duncan, a Professional Instructor with a degree in childhood education, specializes in working with beginners and brings a supportive, engaging approach. Naomi Wang, also a Professional Instructor, danced and taught at Cornell University as team captain and is passionate about helping students discover the joy of dance.
For adults, the studio offers personal lessons, group classes that begin each month, wedding dance choreography (first dance, mother/son, father/daughter), and practice dance parties. Group classes switch partners in every class to help you learn faster and meet new people; the studio notes you'll learn 35% faster this way. All group series classes start at the beginning of each month, with registration closing after the first class. The Introductory Special—three 45-minute private lessons and one dance party for $179—is available for new students, whether you come alone or with a partner. You'll learn the basics to four popular ballroom dances and must complete the special within one month of your first lesson scheduled.
Youth classes are designed for children in a safe, welcoming environment. The Youth Introductory Special offers three 30-minute private lessons for $120, covering Waltz, Rumba and Cha Cha as foundational dances. The studio teaches ballroom styles (Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Viennese Waltz, Quickstep), Latin styles (Cha Cha, Rumba, East Coast Swing, Bolero, Mambo), and nightclub dances (Salsa, Bachata, Merengue, Nightclub Two Step, West Coast Swing, Country Two Step, Hustle, Jitterbug).
The studio also hosts the MBC Showcase and offers space rental for events. Wedding dance lessons are available for first dance, mother/son, and father/daughter choreography.
What to expect
Your first visit
On your first visit as a new student, you'll have a 45-minute private lesson where instructors work at your pace in a supportive setting. If you take the Introductory Special, you'll have three lessons and attend one practice dance party, learning basics to four popular ballroom dances. Bring clean dance shoes (ballet flats for women, dress shoes for men—no tennis shoes or sandals). Classes are welcoming to complete beginners with no dance experience needed.

Samantha Trinidad, the Owner and Artistic Director, is originally from Milwaukee, Wisconsin. She began classical dance training at age four and earned her Bachelor of Arts in Dance from the University of Wisconsin - Stevens Point, graduating in 2007. Shortly after graduation, she began training with national champions and has been teaching all styles of ballroom and Latin for over fifteen years.
