About this studio
Richardson Ballroom is run by Adam Richardson, who brings over 30 years of experience in dance. He holds certifications in Bronze, Silver and Gold levels and has competed at professional and pro-am levels. Adam runs the studio with his wife Robin, whom he met through their shared love for ballroom dancing.
The studio teaches Waltz, Tango, Foxtrot, Quickstep, Cha-Cha, Rumba, and Samba. Adam specializes in creative choreography and tailors routines to be technically sound while reflecting each student's personality. His teaching philosophy centres on breaking down complex steps into manageable components and fostering a supportive, encouraging atmosphere where students of all levels can experience the joy of dance.
Classes are offered as private lessons (50 minutes) and group classes. Tuesday formation group classes run for 1 hour, and Thursday group classes are 1 hour followed by a 1 hour practice party. The studio also runs social dance nights in a relaxed and friendly atmosphere. No partner is required for group classes, parties or private lessons.
The studio specializes in wedding choreography, creating custom routines that reflect couples' unique styles and love stories, from elegant and romantic to fun and energetic. Adam also prepares individuals and couples for performances, instilling confidence and stage presence.
Coming soon: teen and preteen ballroom and Latin dance classes (6th to 12th grade) will take place every Monday at 5:00 p.m. and on the second and fourth Saturdays at 1:00 p.m., in two 45-minute sessions. Richardson Ballroom is an EFA Approved Vendor for homeschoolers.
