salsamiento
A Latin dance studio specializing in Salsa, Bachata, and other Latin social dances.
About this studio
Salsa und Rueda mit George is a small, personal salsa school in the Bahrenfeld district of Hamburg, Germany, led by longtime instructor George. The studio specializes in Cuban-style salsa (Casino) and Rueda de Casino, treating salsa not only as a dance but as a way of life centered on ease, sociability, and joy alongside technique, rhythm, and aesthetics.
George keeps groups deliberately small so he can give each student individual attention and let them progress at their own pace. Instruction emphasizes building a solid foundation of technique, steps, and turns before layering on more complex figures. Courses run from absolute beginners through advanced dancers, with beginner Casino (Salsa Cubana) and Rueda de Casino classes starting fresh each month.
What to expect
Your first visit
Beginners are welcome to drop in to a class or one of the studio's regular practice parties. New beginner courses begin monthly, and the school also offers private lessons for those who want to advance faster or cannot attend group classes. Practice parties open with a short beginner introduction to salsa, bachata, or Rueda de Casino and offer a relaxed, supportive setting to try out newly learned figures and meet other dancers.
