Studio Dance Arts - Dance and Performance

Studio TanzKunst is a dance school in Hamburg Ottensen, located in a loft courtyard setting on Bahrenfelder Straße. The Hamburg cultural authority (Kulturbehörde) recognizes it as a vocational and pre-vocational school for artistic dance and stage dance. The studio is run by Jürgen Robisch.

For children and teenagers, the studio offers classes in ballet, hip hop, breakdance, modern dance and contemporary dance, plus creative movement for younger dancers. Age groups range from 6 years upwards, with separate classes for different age bands. Kids and teens receive a free trial lesson. The studio uses group learning and dance performances to build confidence and social skills.

For adults, Studio TanzKunst offers professional further training and development programs, including Standard and Latin dance courses. The studio positions itself as welcoming to all, regardless of background, gender, faith, age or sexual identity.

The studio prepares students professionally for dance career paths, particularly for entrance examinations to dance schools and institutions. Students have been featured in media appearances, including an interview on the NDR Mikado children's podcast about the studio's breakdance classes.

Children and teens can attend a free trial lesson to explore whether a class suits them. Classes use play-based learning and creative storytelling—becoming a butterfly, sunbeam or train—to teach movement and self-expression alongside technique.

Jürgen Robisch leads the studio and its teaching team.

A free trial lesson is offered to all children and teenagers, and the studio welcomes learners of all ages and backgrounds.
