About this studio

Simply Ballroom is one of the first dance studios in the Midwest to specialise in wedding dance instruction. The studio teaches Ballroom, Latin, Smooth and Rhythm styles through private lessons, group classes, and practice parties. All private lessons are approximately 45 minutes long, pre-booked, and require 24 hours' notice for cancellation.

For adults, the studio offers private one-on-one training with professional instructors, as well as group classes where one instructor works with a group on a particular dance. Group classes are about 45 minutes and no partner is necessary. The studio also hosts practice parties—social dances in a nightclub environment where students can practise with confidence before dancing socially elsewhere.

Wedding couples are a speciality. The studio has choreographed over hundreds of wedding dances, ranging from simple and romantic to extravagant. Wedding packages include the Crash Course (3 lessons, $270), the Wedding Express (5 lessons, $450), and the Classic Wedding (10 lessons, $900). Couples can also book private group classes at $120 for the first four people, plus $25 per additional student, to involve their wedding party. The studio can also send instructors to weddings to teach guests during cocktail hour or the reception.

Youth ballroom classes are available for children ten years and older. Students learn posture, musical timing, technique, patterns, and lead and follow. Dances taught include Waltz, Foxtrot, Tango, Cha Cha, Rumba, Bolero, Swing, and Mambo. No partner is necessary. Private lessons for kids are discounted for those who wish to compete in Dancesport competitions.

The studio also offers DJ and photo booth services, custom venue lighting, and dramatic effects such as spark fountains and motion monograms for events. Lessons are scheduled by appointment. The location is in West Omaha near 180th and Q.
