About this studio

Swing City is a dual-purpose space in Villa Crespo, Buenos Aires dedicated to jazz-era music and dance from the 1920s, 30s and 40s. During the day it operates as a dance school; from Thursday to Sunday evenings it transforms into a live jazz club with programming rooted in the local jazz scene.

The school teaches Lindy Hop (Swing), Boogie Woogie, Balboa, Tap and Authentic Jazz. Classes are available at all levels, with new beginner courses starting at the beginning of each month. You can take group classes or private lessons, and for partner dances you don't need to bring a partner—the school rotates throughout the class. Both in-person classes and online courses are offered.

Social dancing with live music is part of the offering. The venue hosts a Jazz Club Thursday to Sunday with curated programming that maintains the swing tradition, and you can find their schedule and menu on the website.

Swing City also offers private event hire ("Contratanos") and gift certificates ("Regalá Swing"). The space functions as both teaching studio and social venue, drawing on Buenos Aires' established swing community.
