Tanzschule Läderach is one of Zürich's oldest dance schools, based in Oerlikon since 1972. The school has delivered over 61,000 successful dance lessons and is known across the city and beyond. They offer a wide range of dance courses designed for different ages, experience levels and goals.
Their class programmes include Allround (teaching popular ballroom dances for any social occasion), Allround Ü50 (for dancers aged 50 and over), Discofox (featuring attractive turns, wraps and figures for disco and party), Everdance 60+ (group choreography combining ballroom steps), Line Dance Ü50 (energetic group routines), Hobbykurse (for experienced couples), and wedding courses. Private lessons are also available, with content tailored to your specific needs.
The school runs regular social events including Tanzparty (dance parties), Practica (guided practice sessions), and can arrange private events. They have earned a strong reputation for wedding dance coaching, having prepared generations of couples for their special day. A combination of group and private instruction helps you prepare specifically for dancing at your wedding.
The studio employs five qualified dance instructors. Teaching happens in a relaxed, friendly atmosphere with no pressure for results. The school closes for summer holidays (13 July – 16 August, following Zürich's city holidays) and reopens on 17 August.
Discounts are available for couples, students (with valid ID), and early bookers. Gift vouchers can be ordered for courses or private lessons and are posted to you if requested. Courses can be repeated within three months at a 50% discount. If you miss a lesson, you can make it up in a parallel course with the instructor's or office agreement.
