Tanzstudio Nett & Friends

Tanzstudio Nett & Friends opened in summer 2020 in Cologne's Innenstadt, at An Groß Sankt Martin 7–8, steps from the Kölner Dom and Groß Sankt Martin church. It's part of the largest dance and ballet school in Cologne and the surrounding area, with four locations across the region. The studio occupies modern, light-filled rooms in the historic Altstadt near the Alter Markt.

Classes span all ages and abilities. For the youngest, Eltern-Kind-Tanzen (ages 2–4, 45 minutes) brings parents and children together to explore movement, music and rhythm through play. Pré Ballett (ages 3–5, 45 minutes) introduces classical ballet foundations with playful exercises and group dancing; children wear pink trikots. Kinderballett runs in three levels: KIBA I (ages 6–8, light blue), KIBA II (ages 8–10, lilac) and KIBA III (ages 10+, lilac). Mini Hip Hop (ages 3–5, 45 minutes) and Hip Hop Kids (ages 6+, 60 minutes) teach typical moves and choreography to current pop and hip-hop music. Mini Breakdance (ages 3–6, 45 minutes) and Breakdance (ages 7+, 60 minutes) cover toprocks, footworks, freezes and basic powermoves, with an emphasis on respect and teamwork. Modern Jazz / Modern Dance (ages 6+, 60 minutes) combines flowing movements, jazz elements and expressive storytelling through Contraction/Release and Fall/Recover principles. Breakdance and Streetjazz are also offered for kids.

For teens, the school runs Ballett, Ballett Spitze, Hip Hop, Streetjazz, Modern Jazz and Breakdance classes. Adults can take Ballett, Hip Hop, Streetjazz, Modern Jazz, Bauchtanz (belly dance), Salsa & Bachata, and fitness-focused courses including Yoga, WOGA (Workout Yoga), Pilates, DanceFIT, Modern, Line Dance and Yin Yoga. Seniors join Evergreen-Gymnastik. Pair dancing courses teach Standard / Latein and include Discofox crash courses and wedding dance training. Private lessons and hall rental are available.

A signature feature is the studio's regular dance shows where all students perform on stage. The school also offers trial lessons for prospective students.
